The Department of Cardiology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki specializes in heart diseases. It consists of sectors and laboratories covering a wide range of cardiac services such as the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disorders, coronary heart disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology.
The website for the Department features a fresh design that combines functionality with aesthetics. A standout element is the animated red heart, symbolizing the heartbeat, which adds an engaging touch to the user experience. This feature complements the professional layout, intuitive navigation, and clean design, ensuring the site effectively communicates the department’s mission, services, and academic contributions while maintaining a polished and approachable identity.
The UI-cards enhance the website’s usability by organizing information into clear categories. Each card includes a dedicated image and brief summary, guiding users effortlessly to the relevant content. Icons are thoughtfully incorporated to highlight essential details, such as the responsible physician of each unit and visiting hours, making critical information easy to access and understand. This design ensures users can navigate the site efficiently without feeling overwhelmed.
We also undertook the photography of the department’s medical and academic staff, creating individual portraits for each member as well as a team photograph. In addition, we photographed the clinic’s facilities, including patient care areas, consultation rooms, operating theatres, waiting areas, and other key spaces, providing the website with a more direct and accurate representation of the department and its people.
