Steeped in history, Gerakini was once the port for nearby Polygyros, Halkidiki’s capital, and boasts the region’s largest magnesite deposits, adding another layer to its rich tapestry of natural beauty.
Tasked with capturing Gerakini’s coastal allure, Lineadesign crafted a brand identity that embodies the spirit of seaside living and maritime adventures. Taking inspiration from the caïque, a traditional fishing vessel gracing the Ionian and Aegean Seas, the design evokes the timeless charm of these wooden boats. Renowned for their vibrant colors and distinctive sails, caïques are intrinsically linked to the region’s maritime heritage.
The design pays subtle homage to the caïque’s unique form, incorporating its characteristic wide aft beam and sleek, elongated bow – a testament to both practicality and heritage. Color plays a central role throughout the brand identity, reflecting the essence of a Greek summer. A radiant yellow, reminiscent of the rising sun, adorns the caïque’s silhouette, symbolizing the quintessential moments of summer bliss along the captivating Greek coastline.
