For this edition, we were entrusted with the complete design, layout, and production oversight of a unique autobiography. The author wanted to tell his story as a way to preserve it and share it with his family and future generations.
By combining his written memories with family photos, we created a meaningful blend of words and images that reflect his life story. The layout was designed with clarity and rhythm, allowing the storytelling to unfold in an intimate and engaging way.
Special attention was also given to the materiality of the edition. The book is bound in a fabric-covered hardcover with a finely crafted headband made of velvet thread, lending both durability and a tactile, elegant finish. The title is printed directly onto the cover, emphasizing simplicity and permanence. To protect and highlight the book as a treasured heirloom, a custom case was created, framing the edition as an object of memory and value.
The bookbinding was carried out entirely by hand at Vivliodeteio Kallitechniko Livadioti, one of the last traditional bookbinderies of Thessaloniki. Each detail — from the fabric cover to the velvet-thread headband — reflects artisanal craftsmanship, ensuring that the uniqueness of this project is matched by the care of its making.
