The Greek edition of the book “Resistance, Colonialism and Palestine – In a World on Fire”, by Ilan Pappé and Katherine Natanel, presents through interviews with leading thinkers and activists – including Angela Davis, Noam Chomsky, Judith Butler, and Yanis Varoufakis – the connection of the Palestinian struggle with global movements for freedom, equality, and justice.
In the cover design, we aimed to visually convey the intensity that runs through the book. Fire emerges from within the typography itself, making the words appear as though they are burning while transmitting a sense of urgency. The fragments at the bottom allude to the destruction of the Palestinian land, while the smoke and grey sky in the background create a suffocating atmosphere that amplifies the weight of the subject matter.
With bold red tones and commanding typography, we created a cover that serves as a carrier of the book’s meaning, highlighting its intensity and its urgent relevance.
